We've Arrived!

We left Perth on an 11:20pm flight to Brisbane. Once at Brisbane we then waited for about two hours to board our 9:30 flight to Auckland. I have never slept so well on a flight as in the three hours to Auckland on my first Airbus. They're pretty spacious.

On arrival we thought we should probably keep ourselves awake, so we took to walking around the city, stealing free wifi, and exploring the Auckland national gallery. We were so tired it's all a bit of a blur but two paintings really stood out.

There's a really haunting girl third from the left that just stays with me.

And this, a portrait painted from a photograph. The original picture featured the girl topless and in full Maori dress. In the painting she is made to be more European. I want to know why.

There was also a really good choir singing in the gallery. I couldn't help but drift away into harmony heaven!

Then we started fooling around and having some fun. Kamal played wih some sounds and I played with some light.

Then we forced some final energy out to walk around Albert Park.

Finally we headed back to the city for a beer before bed.

Oh and here's some cool cable box graffiti
